You know the saying, a photo says a thousand words? It’s true. So the imagery you use for your business, from online presence to promotional material, needs to tell the right story.

And that’s where a brand photographer comes in. Hello (that's me)!

For a successful and enjoyable brand photography experience, you want to find someone whose style and personality resonate with yours. But how do you know who’ll make a good fit? What should you look for? Good kit? Experience? Photos you’re drawn to?

In short, it’s all of the above, but there’s so much more, too. I’m Natasha Jay, and I’ve been a photographer for 15 years, specialising in brand photography for the last 6. I create meaningful images for clients that help them connect with their audiences and showcase what makes them unique.

Here, you can find out if I’m the right brand photographer for you…

Understanding Your Brand Identity

Hold on. Before you start scrolling through profiles, checking out portfolios and picking the prettiest pictures, it's important to consider your brand identity. Why? Because knowing who you are as a business will help your brand photographer visually bring that to life.

What are your core values? What makes your business stand out? And what message do you want to convey to your audience when they interact with your brand?

Next, reflect on your brand personality. Is your business fun and energetic, or serene and sophisticated? Do you want your visuals to appear raw and edgy, or sleek and professional?

Honing in on these elements will mean you can track down a brand photographer whose style matches yours, enabling you to capture images that feel genuine.

My Photography Style And Approach

Over the years, I have refined my photography style to focus on capturing the true essence of the person in front of the camera. You won’t find any stiff poses or awkward grins in my portfolio! Instead, I focus on authenticity and genuine connection, making my clients feel completely at ease whilst I work my magic.

For me, photography is about storytelling. Each picture I take has an intention behind it, designed to bring your personal tale to life so that your audience feels connected and compelled to act.

When it comes to getting you in front of the camera, my approach is relaxed and super supportive. It's not easy to feel like you’re sitting in the spotlight, but no need to worry; I have been told that I have a knack for making the camera feel invisible, creating a comfortable space where even the most camera-shy clients can rest easy.

What Makes Me Different

There are tons of brand photographers out there, so you might be wondering what makes me stand out from the crowd. So here goes…

I am dedicated to finding out about you. Before we book a date to get clicking, I take plenty of time to explore your story. Why? Because if I understand who you are, what you stand for and what you want from your images, I can make sure we create stunning visuals that will have the impact you’re after.

And it’s not just professional photos on offer, either. I offer a holistic package of both image and video files that you can use across all of your marketing efforts; from your website to promotional materials, and from social channels to business cards, you’ll have everything you need to let your authenticity shine through.

In a world filled with stock images, boring visuals and AI-generated craziness, I put thought and heart into everything I create so that my clients can connect with their audience authentically.

Beyond The Photos: What Else Matters?

Choosing the right brand photographer isn't just about the visuals you end up with - it's about finding someone who you gel with, someone who gets you and whose approach aligns with your needs. Here are some factors to consider when deciding if we’re a good fit.

Personality And Communication

Feeling comfortable with your photographer is crucial. My style revolves around creating natural and personality-infused images; you won’t find any awkward, static headshots here! You can explore my work here to get a feel for what I can create and see if it resonates.

I value my clients’ input and enjoy brainstorming to get the best output. Clear communication and honest discussion fuels collaboration, so if you’re after a creative partnership, you’ve found it!

My Kit

Anyone can buy fancy kit and call themselves a photographer. Whilst professional gear doesn’t come hand in hand with true skill, having the right tools for the job makes a huge difference.

From my cameras to my editing software, I use high-quality kit that allows me to capture images with stunning detail and clarity, even in challenging lighting conditions.

Insurance

Any professional photographer you work with must have the right insurance in place for your complete peace of mind. I run a well-organised business and have all the necessary policies and processes in place to ensure your experience is stress-free.

Testimonials

Coran Stubbington

“I hate having my picture taken and usually avoid cameras at all costs. Tash changed that. She took the time to get to know me, chose a location I felt comfortable in, and created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

I even felt safe enough to be honest about my insecurities—a first for me. The result? Photos I actually love, including my LinkedIn profile picture.

If you’re nervous about being in front of the camera, Tash will put you”
